1. Do I Have To Buy An Item You Find?
No. We present the item, known condition, source and complete cost for approval. However, search retainers and research fees remain non-refundable once work begins.
2. What Happens If I Decline The Find?
Dark Metal may offer the item to another collector or add it to The Garage or The Vault. A declined item does not obligate us to continue searching unless the engagement remains active.
3. How Does Dark Metal Make Money?
Depending on the service level, revenue may come from an acquisition margin, a stated success fee, a minimum service charge, or a custom White Glove quote. The total price is disclosed before you approve the purchase.
4. Can You Guarantee Authenticity?
We can verify available records, seller history, packaging and visible details, but not every collectible has an authoritative authentication system. Any limitations should be clearly disclosed before purchase.
5. Will You Source Entire Collections?
Yes. White Glove assignments can cover complete sets, marque-focused collections, estate acquisitions, art-and-diecast pairings and long-term collection-building plans.
6. What Targets Will You Decline?
Requests may be declined when the budget is unrealistic, authenticity risk is too high, the item is outside our expertise, or the search would not be commercially responsible.
