This policy explains how Dark Metal Designs preorders work, when payment is collected, how arrival estimates are handled, and what happens if an order cannot be fulfilled.
THE ESSENTIALS.
These are the core terms that apply to every preorder unless the individual product page states otherwise.
FULL PAYMENT
Payment is collected at checkout to secure your item against our confirmed allocation.
ESTIMATED ARRIVAL
Arrival windows are estimates and may change due to manufacturing, freight, customs or distributor timing.
FULFILLMENT FAILURE
If Dark Metal Designs cannot fulfill your preorder, you will receive a full refund for the unfulfilled item.
CUSTOMER CANCELLATION
Customer-requested cancellations may be subject to a fee of up to 20%.
HOW PRE-ORDERS WORK.
WHEN YOUR ORDER IS SECURED
Your allocation is secured only after checkout is completed and payment is successfully authorized. Items left in a cart are not reserved.
DATES MAY CHANGE
Expected arrival dates are based on the best information available from manufacturers, distributors and freight partners. They are not guaranteed delivery dates. We will communicate material changes when reliable updates are available.
CUSTOMER-REQUESTED CHANGES
Because preorder inventory may be committed specifically for your purchase, customer-requested cancellations may be subject to a fee of up to 20% to cover payment processing, administrative handling and committed inventory costs. Dark Metal Designs may waive or reduce the fee at its discretion.
WHEN WE CANNOT FULFILL
If Dark Metal Designs cannot obtain or deliver the preorder item, the affected item will be refunded in full. No cancellation fee applies when fulfillment failure is on our side.
WHEN PREORDERS ARRIVE
Preorder items ship after they arrive, are received into inventory and complete our inspection process. Orders containing both in-stock and preorder items may be held and shipped together unless otherwise stated or arranged.
KEEP YOUR INFORMATION CURRENT
Customers are responsible for keeping their shipping address current. Contact us before shipment if an address must be updated.
FAIR ACCESS
Purchase limits may apply. We may cancel quantities that exceed stated limits, appear fraudulent, or are associated with resale abuse or payment risk.
YOUR ACKNOWLEDGMENT.
By placing a preorder, you acknowledge that the product is not currently ready to ship, payment is collected at checkout, arrival timing is estimated, and the terms above apply to your purchase.
